On our one-day Uluru (Ayers Rock) extension you will spend the day exploring the magnificent West MacDonnell Ranges and enjoy a sunset dinner at Uluru. It is the perfect addition to a Larapinta Trail walk and for those who want to make the most of their time in Alice Springs. The day will commence at sunrise in Alice Springs where we will pick you up from your accommodation and drive to Stuarts Well for breakfast. Enjoy morning tea with a view at Atila (Mt.Conner) lookout, then join a base tour of Uluru, which is the best way to soak up its beauty as its great immensity dwarfs everything around it. Also visit the magical Mutitjulu Waterhole at the base of Uluru where you can view ancient Aboroginal Rock paintings. Spend some time learning about the Tjukurpa (law) of the Anangu people at Uluru Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre and gain an understanding of the traditional land owners. Afterwards, wonder between the massive domes at Walpa Gorge in Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) which consists of 36 steep sided monoliths. The highlight of the day could arguably be a sunset dinner back at Uluru where you can enjoy a glass of wine under the twinkling desert stars and watch the colours change from burnished orange to intense red as the sun sets over Uluru.
